For owners of a PS2 V1 - 11, (the old style fat PS2) a Slide Card is supplied. The Slide Card is used to open the drawer of the PS2, fooling it into thinking the drawer is still closed - Thus enabling Swap Magic to operate.
For owners of a slimline V12-16 Playstation 2 console, a Slimtool MK2 is supplied with the Swap Magic set. The Slimtool MK2 is inserted inside the lid (easily removed) and fools the console into believing the lid is still closed, allowing Swap Magic to run.
Remember, your console warranty stays intact and the tools can be easily removed at any time if desired. The tools when installed still allow you to use your Playstation 2 console normally.
